Assessment of Parents with Substance Misuse Issues

At the Orchards we have Lead Assessors who specialise in the fields of substance misuse and addiction. Alongside the assessment we offer a psycho-social substance misuse program aimed at helping parents understand their addiction. The program is also aimed at Relapse Prevention and Cognitive Behavioural approaches to address addiction.

One-to-One Support

The Orchards offer direct work with individuals and couples alongside the assessment process by qualified staff. In addition, they can access free aftercare support for up to 3 months upon successful completion of the assessment.

Mental Health Support

The mental health of families and individuals going through assessment is paramount to our operations, and the social distancing and isolation measures in the COVID-19 era will likely intensify depressive symptoms in individuals. At The Orchards, we are determined to offer the necessary mental health support to families and children in our care and our staff are equipped with the knowledge and training to support families and children.

We offer a variety of support and teaching programs alongside the assessment process:

  • Solihull Parenting Programme
  • Anger Management
